Important Notice

Tiger Sitters is currently in pre-launch development. These terms govern your use of our platform during the market validation phase. We are not yet providing childcare services, employment, or payment processing. These terms will be updated before our Spring 2026 service launch.

By creating an account, you acknowledge that you understand our current pre-launch status.

1. About Tiger Sitters

Tiger Sitters is operated by Collaboration Lab LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. We are building a platform to connect families seeking specialized childcare with qualified caregivers for children with autism, behavioral challenges, Down syndrome, and other special needs.

Currently, we are:

  • Collecting interest from families and caregivers
  • Building profiles for future matching
  • Conducting market research in the Research Triangle area
  • Developing our platform and services

We are NOT currently:

  • Providing any childcare services
  • Employing caregivers
  • Arranging care placements
  • Processing payments
  • Conducting background checks

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

We may update these terms as we develop our service. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

3. Eligibility

To use Tiger Sitters, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate information about yourself
  • Have legal authority to provide information (for families: authority to arrange care for children listed)
  • Be located in or seeking services in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina (for families)
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States (for caregivers)

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate accounts at our discretion.

4. User Accounts

Account Creation

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate information
  • Keep your account information current
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Not share your account with others
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Types

Family Accounts:

  • Created by a parent or legal guardian
  • Provide information about children's care needs (ages, diagnoses, requirements)
  • Do not include children's names or photographs at this stage
  • Multiple family members may be added to one family account

Caregiver Accounts:

  • Created by individuals interested in providing specialized childcare
  • Provide information about certifications, experience, and background
  • Subject to verification before service launch

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@tigersitters.com.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these terms
  • Provide false information
  • Engage in inappropriate conduct
  • Pose security or legal risks

5. User Responsibilities

Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your profile information. False or misleading information may result in account termination.

Appropriate Use

You agree to use our platform only for its intended purpose. Prohibited activities include:

  • Harassment or inappropriate communication
  • Attempting to bypass security measures
  • Collecting information about other users
  • Using automated systems or bots
  • Violating any applicable laws

Content You Provide

By submitting information to our platform, you grant us the right to:

  • Store and process your information
  • Use your information to develop our matching service
  • Contact you about our service
  • Analyze aggregate data for business purposes

You retain ownership of your content. We will not share your personal information with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Our Rights and Responsibilities

Platform Development

We are actively developing our service and make no guarantees about:

  • Launch timeline (target: Spring 2026)
  • Final service features
  • Pricing or service terms
  • Geographic availability

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Update eligibility requirements
  • Change our business model
  • Transfer operations to a new entity (e.g., Tiger Sitters, Inc.)

No Current Services

Important: We are not currently providing childcare services. Creating a profile does not guarantee future service availability or acceptance into our network.

Families: You are not reserving a caregiver or care slot.
Caregivers: You are not being hired or offered employment.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Collaboration Lab LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or reliability of content

We do not warrant that:

  • Our platform will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Data will be secure or not lost
  • Services will launch as planned
  • Any particular results will be achieved

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Collaboration Lab LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of our platform
  • Inability to use our platform
  • Any content or conduct of users
  • Unauthorized access to your information

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us (currently $0), whichever is greater.

When services launch: These limitations will be updated to reflect actual service operations, insurance coverage, and applicable law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Collaboration Lab LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your violation of any rights of others
  • Information you provide

10. Privacy and Data Use

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our platform, you consent to our data practices as described in that policy.

Key points:

  • We do not collect children's names or photographs
  • Parents provide general information about children's care needs
  • We do not sell user information
  • Data is used for service development and communication

11. Future Service Terms

Before launching childcare services, we will:

  • Obtain appropriate liability insurance
  • Implement background check procedures
  • Establish employment or contractor arrangements
  • Update these terms with service-specific provisions
  • Notify you of material changes

You will have the opportunity to review and accept updated terms before using any services.

12. Intellectual Property

The Tiger Sitters name, logo, and all content on our platform are owned by Collaboration Lab LLC or licensed to us. You may not use our intellectual property without permission.

13. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Jurisdiction

Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina. You consent to personal jurisdiction in these courts.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal action, you agree to contact us at hello@tigersitters.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

14. Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Collaboration Lab LLC.

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.

Assignment

We may transfer our rights and obligations to a new entity (such as Tiger Sitters, Inc.) without your consent. You may not transfer your account.

15. Special Provisions for Pre-Launch Phase

Market Research Purpose

Your participation during this pre-launch phase helps us:

  • Develop appropriate matching algorithms
  • Design our service offering
  • Plan our geographic expansion

No Obligations Created

This pre-launch participation does not create:

  • Employment relationships
  • Service commitments
  • Contractual obligations for future services
  • Guaranteed placement or matching

Transition to Service Launch

When we launch services in Spring 2026:

  • You will receive notice of updated terms
  • You can choose whether to continue using the service
  • Your profile information will be retained unless you request deletion
  • You will not be automatically enrolled in services
